Overview
Rafeeq is an AI-powered educational platform built to support undergraduate students who lack structured academic and career guidance. It combines AI-generated study content (exams, quizzes, exercises), personalized study scheduling, and career-readiness guidance in one place. The platform includes a resource library, collaborative study groups with video chat, a real-time Tldraw whiteboard, and an AI assistant reachable in-app or through Discord and Telegram bots. Built with React 18, TypeScript, Vite, and Tailwind CSS on the frontend, with Google Gemini powering the AI features.
The Story
Background
GDG Batna organized DevFest 2026 in Batna. I gathered my team and we traveled 400 km to get there. The proposed theme: help students using AI.
Key Achievements
- Built the React/TypeScript frontend: AI content generation, study scheduling, and resource library flows
- Integrated Google Gemini for AI-generated exams, quizzes, and exercises
- Implemented the real-time collaborative whiteboard (Tldraw) and study-group video chat
- Connected the platform to a Node.js/Express + MongoDB backend and to Discord/Telegram bots for AI assistant access outside the app
Impact
Rafeeq gave undergraduate students — especially those without structured academic or career guidance — a single AI-assisted space to study, plan, and get oriented toward real-world skills, built in one DevFest weekend after a 400 km trip.
